For our very first project we learned about basic forms. How to shapes can combine into one creating another form without losing its original shape. By adding and subtracting both forms creates either a mass or void like in the following project:
For this project i began a survey with the following question " If FSC was Manhattan where would ___ be?" by using push pins with different colors representing a certain monument or area known in Manhattan and placing them were it felt more appropriate on campus. The answers were varied. For examples student chose a certain building because of the feeling they experienced was alike, campus police chose different because the building was more symbolic. Some architecture students chose different because of the location relating to its existing place in Manhattan.
